The process of hand crafting each unique piece of jewelry begins with an idea and a piece of upcycled fabric. After rigorously sketching out each design and testing hand embroidery stitches, patterns, and placement, the piece is ready for final stitching. I use DMC Threads, to ensure the highest quality cotton threads are being used in each piece. Each sailor bow is unique.
Slow Fashion practices and Sustainability are at the core of our mission. All the fabric used for my embroidery is upcycled, from other embroidery projects, old clothes that have run their natural lifespan, or thrifted. This reduces the reliance on new materials and removes fabric that would be headed towards a landfill. Each piece is completely unique, and here we embrace the imperfections that come from hand crafting items.
